CRAFTING AND MATURATION
This Bourbon Cask whisky is crafted from the finest South African grain and malt whiskies. Distilled in both copper pot and column stills, the whisky is matured in a combination of older and  younger ex-Bourbon American oak casks for a minimum of three years. The warm South African climate accelerates maturation, resulting in an exceptionally smooth whisky.

TASTING NOTES:
Colour: Light golden
Nose: Inviting vanilla, dried apricots, hazelnuts and digestive biscuit aromas.
Palate: The upfront sweet vanilla and caramel notes are balanced by subtle white pepper, nuts, cinnamon, banana, and marmalade.
Finish: The whisky is incredibly smooth with a lingering sweet, spicy finish.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy on the rocks, with a dash of water or your favourite soda.

Bain’s Symphony Made to Music

This limited release whisky began its life as the globally awarded Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky. Our Founder Distiller allowed the whisky to continue maturing in wood before being aged in a sonic cellar.

The pulsing soundwaves enhanced the whisky’s richness with additional layers of depth and flavour.

Born from the curiosity of two inquisitive, multi award-winning craftsmen, a whisky maker and a musician, this limited release is testament to their passion.

This 18-year-old single grain whisky started its life off as Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky which was awarded the World’s Best Grain Whisky at the 2013 and 2018 World Whiskies Awards held in London. Bain’s is made from 100% sun-kissed South African grain and spends its first three years maturing in first fill casks previously used for bourbon before being re-vatted into a fresh set of first fill ex-bourbon casks for a further two years. In crafting this 18-year-old Oloroso Cask Finish, the whisky spent an additional 10 years maturing in American oak before being finished individually for three years in Oloroso sherry casks.

TASTING NOTES

Colour: Deep mahogany

Nose: Complex with upfront nuts, figs, raisins and fruit

Taste: Full and rich with toffee, hints of dark chocolate, nuts and a silky smoothness

Finish: The finish is warm and long with hints of sherried oak and a well-balanced sweetness

Colour: Golden syrup

Nose: Dry Sherry notes with floral and fruity notes

Taste: Warm grapes and stewed fruit y with roasted nuts, warm spice and a slight sweetness

Finish: The finish is warm, rich and slightly spicy oak and a well-balanced sweetness

The fifth collectable, special release Three Ships Whisky 11-Year-Old Single Malt Shiraz Cask Finish is 51.4% in ABV. Both smooth and complex, drawing signature spices and fruity aromas from the seasoned Shiraz casks to balance and round off the peaty character of the single malt.

Andy first matured single malt whisky in American Oak barrels for eight years before finishing it in seasoned Shiraz oak casks for another three years. The warm South African climate accelerates maturation, softening the whisky at an earlier age.

TASTING NOTES:

Colour: Inviting rose gold.

Nose: Harmonious interplay of cherries, roasted nuts, Christmas fruit cake, smoky barbequed meat, and subtle orange.

Palate: Juicy with plush red fruit, cloves, white pepper, liquorice, treacle, raisins and warm peat.

Finish: Remarkably complex, the mouth feel is warm and lingering with subtle peat and a savoury, smooth finish.
